I’ve noticed at the launch point that newbies often get confused by which ident to use on the radio – whats on the fin or the G-code on the boom, so the current plan is to have Foxtrot Echo X-ray as large and dark as possible on the fin, and the G-code as pale and small as possible. While both are fine, it seems like a good idea to make the choice of one over the other more “obvious”, just to reduce hesitation.<\/p>\n
The orange splat, is just because I can. The orange as it has been my long term marking colour for all my gear for about 30 years.<\/p>\n
I won’t be replacing the red nose and the red aileron markings will also be removed. Only the fin will have conspicuity colours, as they’re useful on the ground, but nothing else is required as I won’t be flying over snow.<\/p>\n
